Patriote will be at the MA Equine Affair Nov 13-16th, see him at his breed demo on Thrusday at 1pm or stop by the Canadian Horse booth!

Patriote was a breeding stallion (CanaDream Farms still has frozen semen) before being gelded and sent to True North to begin his dressage career. Even though he was a breeding stallion he is now 100% a gelding - turned out with geldings and a stud colt and he's the lowest on the totem pole!

This horse is AMAZING. A lovely reaching trot, a fabulous sit-on-your-haunches rides-like-a-rocking-horse canter, and a ground covering walk. He is light in the bridle, super easy off the leg and wonderful to handle. Excellent lateral work (Leg yields, shoulder-in, walk pirouettes,), countercanter, crisp transitions - Crossties - stands quiet, no dancing - baths, clips, trailers, trail rides (alone or group), dog safe .... in short - he's a DREAM! This guy is the sire of our Canadian Horse "Showy". Patriote has unlimited potential as a dressage horse - would suit both an amateur or professional, can easily make his way up the levels.

The Canadian Horse is still a relatively unknown breed in the US, they're Canada's best kept secret!! Patriote is a true example of the breed. He's 15.3hh but rides like a much larger horse (I'm 5'8 and riding him in all the photos). Read more about the Canadian Horse at CanaDream Farms website.

Patriote took top honours this year at 2nd level with PVDA for year end awards!!

Patriote is now showing 2nd level, confirmed counter-canter, canter to walk transitions, shoulder-in, walk pirouettes, renvers. Showing talent for half pass in trot and canter. Patriote has a great piaffe and is starting on passage work.

Patriote has also been started over fences and is a bold and trustworthy jumper. Would make an awesome event horse - win on your dressage scores! Excels in whatever he attempts, a truly wonderful partner! Hacks out on the buckle, alone or in company, dog and road safe. There is NOTHING this horse can't do!
